Buffet

Hi there! My name is Buffet and I am a seven year old Dalmatian that has been listed for adoption with Willing Hearts Dalmatian Rescue for about a year and a half. Can you believe it? A handsome fellow like me and I couldn't find a home. It was tough getting shuffled around to different foster homes for that long, but it was better than my original home. My first set of parents just left me alone in a kennel or with a petsitter all the time. One time, I got hit by a car and they left me in my crate to go to work. Oh - it hurt so bad that I kept biting at it. When they got home part of my foot was gone. I just didn't know what else to do. I ended up having my front right leg amputated, but I can't really tell it's gone.

After spending that year and half in loving foster homes, I got moved to yet one more foster home. This nice lady and her boyfriend decided to take care of me. Sara, (that's the nice lady)had recently had to put her 3 year old liver spotted Dalmatian, Mia, to sleep. She was very sad and lonely and wanted to help another dally dog. Well, she saw me on the website and asked about fostering me. One week later my latest foster dad, Keith, drove me from Maryland to North Carolina. Wow, what a trip! After only a week and a half, Sara and Woody decided to adopt me. Well, I have them well trained! I have my own full size bed, a huge crate, and corner of the couch covered just for me and this thing called a "cat" that leaves me treats in what my new Mommy Sara calls the "get out of there" box! It is so much fun! We go for two long walks a day and lots of short ones and sometimes I sneak out so I can race Mommy and Daddy around the house.

We always go for car rides and they love me a lot. I'm very happy to have found a new forever home before my 8th birthday in January!
