Jinga, J-Lo and Panda Joy came to us on January 8, 2009. We had been anticipating their arrival from South Carolina.
A rescue angel from SC drove them all the way to PA in a blizzard to meet me.  They were so sweet but I could tell they were not feeling well.  We thought it was the long trip that had them feeling poorly.  We took them home and got them all comfy and cozy.  We had a vet appt set for 12th of January.  They were awful thin but eating and drinking well.

January 12
, 2009.  Upon examination the vet diagnosed them with mange.  He gave them an injection of Ivermectin, a dhlpp vaccination and fecal that found hook and round worms.  Back home with meds and what we hoped would be the road to recovery.

9.  I noticed blood in their stool.  Panda Joy was becoming lethargic and wanted nothing to do with her sisters.
I knew she was in trouble.  We
rushed her to the vet and he did a parvo test and he gave us the devastating news that it was positive.

We admitted her that day and I called my daughter to bring the other two pups over to be
checked.  Dr Moss recommended that he keep JLo and Jinga too. We went home empty handed and fearing the worst but knowing they were in good hands.  Chelsea, their nurse at the clinic called every day with updates. They were cared for around the clock.

9 I got a call that Panda Joy passed.  Chelsea was with her, holding her as she passed.  It gave me great comfort knowing it.   When you leave your dog in the hospital sometimes you wonder which is better ..
home with family
or with hospital staff where they get the best of care.   Thank you, Chelsea. I know a special little angel pup loves you dearly from above.

Jinga and J-Lo are still testing positive every day for Parvo.  They are hanging in there and I am so hoping the doctor will call and tell me they are well and beat the odds and can come home.

January 22, 2009 It's been a week and finally the daily call is a good one!  They are eating and drinking and driving Chelsea nuts!!  Yippee!~~
They can come home!

9  All is going fine with the girls!  They are happy and to get a picture of them still.. well.. it just does not seem to happen which is of course fine!!   Happy and active is what we want to see ~
They go back to the doctor on Thursday January 29 ...  Hoping for another good report.. these puppies are survivors and some lucky families  will be matched  up with some super great girls!!!!

Their bill as of January 27, 2009 is $1,102.01 and help is needed to clear this debt.  Click on the puppy's individual pictures to see each bill.
